Wake up Ready to Go
Please reach us at if you cannot find an answer to your question.
Permanent Makeup is performed with a tattoo machine, a single needle and pigments or tints. In order to implant the pigment onto the lip, we gently scratch the surface of the lip with the needles which will create tiny holes for the pigment to seap through. I go over the area multiple times to slowly build the pigment to your desired results. As I am working, I continue to use a numbing liquid to keep you comfortable. The pigments/tints that are used for cosmetic tattooing and are safe for the face.

Colors are customized for each client depending on their prefered color choice, their undertones and what would best suit them etc. I create a custom mix and ask clients to bring in their favorite lipstick or lip tint to match their lip tattoo. If lam neutralizing then I will use my knowledge of color theory to choose the best color that will correct the cool undertones of the clients lips as well as giving them their desired healed results.
The physical healing of lip blush and lip neutralization is fairly quick and only about 7 days long. During this time please follow post care instructions. For lip blush the color continues to heal for 4-6 Weeks and lip neutralization is 8 weeks. It is important to stay patient during this time as the lip color will go through many stages, the results are worth it!
For brows/eyeliner/lashline enhancement it takes about 2 weeks to fully heal where the area will lightly scab off.
Your lip blush will last 2-5 years, Lip tints last from 12-18 months, depending on your skin and health.
Touchup are recommended to increase longevity.
Some factors that will cause your lip blush to fade faster:
Protect the area with SPF.
When getting facials done, or using skincare protects, do not put these products on the tattooed area. Keep your lips as moisturized as possible long term.
The tattooing process lasts about two hours. It is slightly uncomfortable but completely bearable. Numbing is used throughout the process. If you are nervous about pain, you may take
1-2 Tylenol 30 minutes before your appointment. DO NOT take Advil or drink a coffee before your appointment. Coffee and Advil will cause you to bleed more and make you more sensitive during the procedure.
All supplies used are single use disposable materials that are properly discarded after each client.
We take every precaution when it comes to health and safety.
Yes! Lip filler compliments lip blush very well. Note that lip filler and lip blush appointments MUST be at least 4 weeks apart from each other. Lip blush is also perfect for adding color and definition back into the lips that has been lost due to fillers.
The skin on the lips is not the same as on the face, and things can look unnatural or get unpredictable outside the natural lipline.
When I draw the lip shape it enhances the symmetry and gives the appearance of more volume, going outside the lip line is many times unnecessary and can be done 1-2mm to address symmetry concerns.
Lip blush or lip tint gives the illusion of a natural tinted lip color without needing to apply any!
If your lips are two-toned, cool, brown, dark looking, you will need to have a neutralization procedure.
Lip neutralizing uses warm toned pigment to lift the darkness of lips.
It slightly lightens lips that are naturally dark and evens out lip tone.
This service is designed to improve aesthetics by creating an even tone consistent across the top and bottom lip.
This procedure can trigger cold sores for carriers of the herpes virus. To prevent cold sores from flaring up it is recommended to go to your family doctor and get Zovirax, Valtrex, or another antiviral medication prescribed to take 5 days before and 5 days after. Note that a cold sore outbreak can alter the healed results of the tattoo.
Touchups are recommended initially no sooner than 8 weeks after your last appointment. After that it is up to you and depending on how you follow PRE/POST care as if you would like to come in for a touch up. It is recommended every year or so to keep your lips looking fresh.
Lip neutralization may require multiple sessions (2-4) depending on what your goal color is and how dark your lips are as well as you following PRE/POST care.
The lip blush, lip tint, lip neutralisation or powder brows appointment is about 3 hours long.
During this time, I explain the procedure, answer any questions you may have, you sign the consent form, take pictures, we choose a lip color together, I create a pre-drawing shape that you approve of, we numb the treatment area, tattoo and take after pictures. I explain in detail post care for your lips or brows after your appointment. You can also find pre and post care instructions on our page or website.

Powder brows, also known as ombre brows or shading brows, are a semi-permanent makeup technique used to enhance and shape the eyebrows. Unlike microblading, which creates hair-like strokes, powder brows involve a gentler approach to achieve a soft, powdered effect on the eyebrows. During the procedure, our cosmetic tattoo artist uses a specialized machine to deposit small dots of pigment into the top layers of the skin, gradually building up the intensity and shade of the brows. The result is a more filled-in and defined appearance that mimics the look of well-groomed, powdered eyebrows. Powder brows are a popular choice for those seeking a long-lasting and low-maintenance solution to improve the shape and density of their eyebrows.
We use a numbing cream before we begin shading in your brows and lips. You may feel a mild discomfort in some areas during the procedure but it is not painful. We like to ensure our clients are as comfortable as possible throughout the entire procedure.
Once the brows are healed they can last between 1-3 years. This will depend on your skin type, brow maintenance and lifestyle. Once brows fade you can always come in for a touch up.
A touch-up for powder brows is a follow-up appointment that occurs after the initial powder brow procedure. It is a crucial step in the semi-permanent makeup process and is usually scheduled around 4 to 6 weeks after the first session. During the touch-up, the cosmetic tattoo artist assesses the healed results of the initial procedure and makes any necessary adjustments to ensure the desired outcome is achieved.
The touch-up serves several essential purposes:
It's essential to attend the touch-up appointment as it helps finalize the look of the powder brows and ensures that the brows remain looking fresh and beautiful for an extended period. Depending on the individual's skin type and lifestyle, additional touch-up sessions may be recommended in the future to maintain the desired appearance of the powder brows.
We do not consider it a touch up unless its on our own work. We do not touch up work from other artists. This would be considered a new set or correction depending on how faded they are. If you are unsure which one it could be, it is always best to send a picture to your artist before your appointment.
The initial healing process typically takes 7-14 days. This varies with each client and depends on your body's natural healing process. Scabbing and peeling typically begins on the 5th-7th day. It is extremely important to remember not to pick at or pull off scabs. when you pick at your scabs the pigment will come off as well resulting in little to no pigment retention. Properly following aftercare instructions will help to achieve the best result possible.
In the first 12 hours after the procedure gently blot the area with sterile Q-tips to absorb any excess lymph fluid. Do this every 5 mins until oozing has stopped. Removing this fluid prevents hardening of the lymph.
Gently apply the aftercare ointment with a sterile Q-tip 2-3 times a day. Do not wipe off aftercare ointment from your brows. Maintain moisture on your brows with the aftercare ointment. Reapply regularly when brows feel dry or tough. Apply just enough product to moisten them (the size of a grain). Too much product will also cause the scab to lift prematurely and affect the healing process.
Do not get your brows wet for the next 10-12 days. This includes: saunas, steam rooms/baths and sweating. Apply ointment before showering and avoid placing your face directly under the shower head.
DO NOT pick, scratch or rub your scabs.
Avoid facial cleansers or soap on brows until scabs have fallen off. We recommend using facial wipes to remove makeup and cleanse face.
Avoid sun exposure until scabs have completely fallen or flaked off.
Do not wear any makeup on your brows until scabs have fallen off, usually up to 14 days.
Avoid working out or sweating profusely for at least 10 days post procedure.
Sleep on your back! Rubbing your brows on your pillow may cause scabbing to come off.
Typically the client and I will decide on the color together or I will recommend what I think will look best . I will usually match the brows to the clients natural hair color for best and natural results. Colors are always customized for each client, I always mix create unique blends.
Please read ALL of the PRE- and POST-appointment instructions BEFORE booking your appointment to make sure that you will be able to meet requirements. The PMU schedule is very full and there will be a $100 charge if we have to reschedule to due to known ineligibility or lack of prep, or if there is less than 48 hours notice of cancellation. No-Shows will be charged the $100 fee and need to pay for the appointment in full to rebook.
*Keep in mind for planning that after your procedure your tattoo cannot be submerged in water, in hot steamy environments, or sweat excessively for 10-14 days after. Direct sun exposure should be avoided for at least 4 weeks. This is not a procedure that is recommended immediately before vacations, pictures, or big events. The tattooed area will be VERY DARK and defined immediately after the procedure and will fade in intensity 30-50% during healing. Moles are not able to be tattooed. Scars are very resistant to retaining pigment.
Procedure:
We will spend the first portion of the appointment going over history and consulting on the desired procedure. For Brows, we will map out your shape based on face frame, bone structure, and facial features in a way that best compliments your individual attributes. Then we will make any adjustments together until you are happy with the shape and all questions are answered before beginning the procedure.
After:
• Do not expect your cosmetic tattoo to heal perfectly after the first session. This is a 2-step process and will require a perfecting touch-up appointment 6-8+ weeks later, which we recommend you book online asap.
• Immediately after your procedure the area will be VERY DARK and defined and will fade in intensity by 30-50% during the first 2 weeks of healing.
• Your cosmetic tattoo will take up to 6 weeks to fully heal so please be patient. During the first 2 weeks when flaking comes off, the color may seem faint, patchy, or uneven because a fresh layer of skin is healing over the tattooed area. Color will continue to change daily as the deeper layers of skin heal and become more translucent.
• We will make any adjustments needed at your follow up appointment. Nothing can be done prior to that appointment, to make sure the skin heals without any complications.
• After your procedure your tattoo cannot be submerged in water, in hot steamy environments, or sweat excessively for 10-14 days after. Direct sun exposure should be avoided for at least 4 weeks. This is not a procedure that is recommended immediately before vacations, pictures, or big events.
We love our customers, so feel free to visit during normal business hours.
